3 min read • Updated 2 days ago • Verified Documentation

Creating an event on FewSeatsLeft.com takes less than two minutes. Whether you are hosting a casual community meetup or selling thousands of reserved auditorium seats, the setup flow is seamless.

1. Choosing Your Event Type

From your dashboard, click Create Event. You have two primary formats:

  • Free RSVP & Social Meetup: Ideal for community workshops, tech talks, and open gatherings. Guests can RSVP in one click without credit cards.
  • Ticketed / Reserved Seating Event: Ideal for concerts, theaters, sports, and conferences. Allows you to set tier prices, attach custom seating layouts, and collect payments via Stripe.
Pro-tip: You can create both standard general admission tickets and link a custom 2D seating chart to the exact same event.

2. Essential Event Details

  1. Event Title & Category: Choose a descriptive title and appropriate category (e.g. Music, Theater, Sports, Social, Tech).
  2. Date & Showtime: Set your start time and duration. For recurring events, you can clone or schedule multi-day runs.
  3. Location / Venue: Select an existing registered venue or provide custom address and Google Maps coordinates.
  4. Rich Description & Flyer: Add markdown formatting, itinerary, FAQs, and upload high-resolution cover artwork.

3. Publishing & Sharing

Once you click Publish Event, your event is immediately live with an SEO-friendly public URL, automated calendar invitation sync (.ics), and responsive mobile checkout.
